The film is set in a small Southern town in the middle of nowhere. During discussions with the director we discussed trauma and how it changes over time.
I wanted to create costumes for characters who are in their own world not impacted by the outside world. For the main character I wanted to show her journey from teenager to adult.
A highlight of my experience was figuring out how to dress the 7 foot tall actor who plays the demon. For this project I managed an assistant who beautifully fabricated the demon mask.

Sherry Vs. The Devil

The film is set in ordinary yet extraordinary world. During discussions with the director we discussed the main character overcoming homophobia and learning to trust.
I wanted to create costumes for characters who are counter-culture and rebelling against their circumstances.
A highlight of my experience was researching the character archetypes includes in the action from Jesus to punks and wrestlers.

The film is set in a suburban home. During discussions with the director we discussed teenage subcultures and suburban dynamics.
I wanted to create costumes for characters who represent well-known family archetypes and relationships; the rebellious boy, lonely girl longing to be cool, and professional mother.
A highlight of my experience was working with an experienced actor who aided me in fleshing out the character.

A Long Night Out

The film is set in a college town. During discussions with the director we discussed the comedy of the script and the need to protect the twist at the end.
I wanted to create costumes for characters who are relatable young men trying to work out what happened the night before.
A highlight of my experience was experimenting with distressing techniques to create clothes that looked lived in and were impacted by the character’s actions.
